Coach Eddie Zelaya
Team Manager, Head Coach
Caring and compassionate, Coach Eddie has mentored and coached competitive youth softball and baseball players for over a decade. Coach Eddie trains Stampede athletes to be quick, skilled and focused by teaching good fundamentals, strong mechanics and high softball IQ. Aerospace Engineer by trade, Coach Eddie manages the team using data driven analytical methods, risk/reward-based performance models, and progressive tactical/strategic drills and game plans, all designed to achieve specific goals and milestones that the team uses to develop their personal and team accomplishments.

Coach Megan Mendez
Assistant Coach
Coach Megan Mendez trains and mentors our players, offering professional and quality guidance based off her own recent experience and proven methods of preparation. She is a recent 2019 graduate from Claremont McKenna College, and was an integral player for the NCAA Division III West Region #4 Nationally Ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas Softball Team.
Coach Katelyn Santisteban
Assistant Coach
Recent Stampede Alumni, Coach Katelyn Santisteban played with the team from 2017-2019, and was recruited to play at Washington College (Chestertown, Maryland) for her Freshman college season as a Shorewoman athlete beginning Spring 2020. Coach Katelyn continues to support Stampede by providing thorough skills training, inspiring leadership, and insightful advice that has helped her achieve her goal of playing NCAA college softball. We thank Coach Katelyn for her time and dedication, and wish her the best in her College career!
